We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated specialist community nurse to lead the community nursing team at Exminster (Westbank). This is an exciting time to be in community nursing as our service continues to expand, develop and integrate with social care. Leading a community nursing team can be a rewarding and positive experience and you will be supported to develop clinically and in leadership to provide an excellent high quality service to the people of Exminster, Starcross and Kenton. You will work closely with the Community matron, band 5 nurses and Healthcare assistant to provide care to patients in the patient’s home and be the caseload manager, where we actively promote care within the home environment.

The Team are based within the Exminster Limes Surgery premises in the village centre, covering the surrounding area and villages making this a busy and dynamic team. You will work under the Nurse Team manager for outer Exeter and be clinically supported by professional practice, Tissue viability team and adjoined services.

Experience within the band 6 Community role would be an advantage however this is not essential and we welcome applications from band 5 nurses and those wanting to develop in management as we value the qualities required and fitting the right person to the role. Being proactive and forward thinking within your leadership are the attributes we are looking for.
