Clinical Cardiac Physiologist (Band 5) Cardiology Department DIRECTORATE OF MEDICINE ROYAL DEVON AND EXETER HOSPITAL (WONFORD)

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic newly qualified graduate, to expand their skill knowledge in the fields of invasive and non-invasive Cardiology. This post holder must be willing to develop their professional skills and specialise in advanced investigations.

There will be opportunities for advancement within the department upon successful completion of internal competencies.

The Royal Devon and Exeter Cardiology department operates a 24/7 primary angioplasty service and the successful candidate would be expected after appropriate training and successful assessment to participate in the on call rota. Weekend and evening shifts will also be required in both invasive and non-invasive Cardiology; therefore flexible working will be an essential requirement. You will also be fully competent in all non – invasive Cardiology procedures and be fully competent to perform unsupervised all procedures listed in the job description.The successful candidate must have successfully completed the BSc (Hons) Healthcare Science (Physiological Sciences) 3 year programme or equivalent degree qualification. RCCP voluntary membership application will be encouraged.

The successful candidate must also be currently working in a Cardiology dept or have recent experience through placement and have proven experience performing supervised all the duties listed in the job description. (Please note applicants who not meet these minimum requirements will be rejected.)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy friendly multi-disciplined team within the Cardiology department at this Foundation Trust hospital. You will contribute to the on going development of the Cardiology service and using your proven clinical skills and specialised training will be able to work independently at a highly specialised level and continue to develop expertise in complex cardiac procedures.
