Secondment opportunity (12 Months) Band 5 Clinical Engineering

A self-motivated technician is needed to join the Medical Equipment Management department. The department provides a range of technical support service for a diverse range of Medical Devices used throughout the Acute Trust and Primary care settings.

You will be required to contribute to the technical support for the department and will have the relevant skills and ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team. Your main duties will include the repair, maintenance and support of devices used throughout the Trust and Trust managed services. You will be based at the Royal Devon and ExeterHospitalbut may be required to travel other sites.

The job will include the lifting of some heavy equipment. HNC/HND in relevant area or alternative qualifications with relevent experience including workshop or field service experience is an essential requirement. A full driving licence and personal computer skills are essential.

The department is committed to the continuous improvement in the quality of patient care and you would be expected to participate in any future developments.
