Are you looking to advance your career in a beautiful part of the country? Do you want to improve your work life balance?

This MSK Team Lead post will provide you with a high level clinical role in beautiful Devon. Based in Exeter, this small but vibrant regional capital city, offers a varied range of cultural, leisure and sporting opportunities. Exeter is close to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and the SW footpath and within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park with its range of fantastic outdoor activities.

We are looking for someone with strong clinical skills and proven operational experience to lead the team in this community musculoskeletal service. Leadership responsibilities span a range of sites, both community hospitals and GP practices. Strong communication and relationship building skills are essential as this post requires close working with primary care colleagues, both in terms of clinical case management and managing patient flow but also leading discussions on service strategy, service development opportunities and CCG priorities.

You will be responsible for linking with practice managers and the manager of the outsourced booking service. You would be managing a team of just over 12.0 WTE, delivering clinical supervision and appraisals and career development support. You will work closely with ESPs and clinical specialist staff and be supported in your role by the Clinical Manager and peer meetings of team leaders from other areas. You will have the ability to bring innovation to on-going service development and continue to further your career in a supportive service.

There is a robust clinical training programme for all members of the service plus a specific focus on leadership development for Band 7 and 8A staff. Developing the team is a Trust priority so that our patients receive the very best, evidence based care delivered by motivated and enthusiastic staff.

Our vision is to provide safe, high quality seamless services delivered with courtesy and respect. To achieve our vision we expect all our staff to uphold our Trust values.

Our Trust values are: Honesty, Openness & Integrity Fairness Inclusion & Collaboration Respect & Dignity
