As an evolving and dynamic service the Preparation for Surgery unit are wishing to expand its team. The Trust faces a number of challenges in preparing patients for surgery and is keen to enlist a vibrant and flexible surgical assessment nurse with experience and enthusiasm to help us meet those challenges.

Do you hold a sound surgical care knowledge and are a good communicator?

Are you wishing to take on new challenges and eager to learn new skills?

Then the Preparation for Surgery team would like you to join them.

We are looking for a candidate with ideally 2-3 years’ experience on an acute surgical setting. The applicants may be required to work in a number of speciality areas and for this reason, a generic surgical background is desirable. The applicant must also be able to demonstrate an ability to work without direct supervision and evidence a proactive approach to managing their own professional development. Phlebotomy skills are desirable.
