We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient focussed nurse to join our friendly team of radiology Nurses. The successful candidate will assist in diagnostic imaging procedures for patients across acute and non-acute pathways.

We welcome applications from all areas of nursing although previous experience in interventional radiology, cardiac catheterisation or theatre is desirable. Training will be given to successful applicants to ensure that an excellent knowledge of Interventional and non-interventional procedures is gained. The key qualities of a radiology nurse are a passion to advocate for the patient and their safety, champion the trust values and have the desire to work within a dynamic and inspiring team.

Our radiology nurses work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of Consultant radiologists, radiographers, nurses and support staff to deliver safe, effective and efficient care to all patients attending the radiology department. You will work within the Interventional Radiology theatre during vascular procedures, facilitate other image guided procedures (including CT, Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy), and be responsible for the monitoring and recovery of patients. This provides a diverse and engaging environment to work in.

Within the Interventional radiology theatre, the radiology nurse provides scrub support for procedures and sedation to patients working flexibly with radiographers to offer excellent patient care. This service may be required out of hours and therefore participation in the interventional on call rota is required after an initial period of training.

Our department strongly supports role development and you will be encouraged to work in innovative ways to benefit the patient and the team.

Our vision is to provide safe, high quality seamless services delivered with courtesy and respect. To achieve our vision we expect all our staff to uphold our Trust values. Our Trust values are: Honesty, Openness & Integrity Fairness Inclusion & Collaboration Respect & Dignity
