This is an exciting opportunity to join the pharmacy aseptic and clinical trials teams at the Royal Devon and Exeter Foundation Trust at a time of innovation and service development.
The RD&E Aseptic Unit has a new state of the art facility on-site and we are looking for an experienced registered pharmacy technician with an interest in aseptic services and clinical trials.
The RD&E continues to develop its research and development portfolio with excellent links with Exeter University and the clinical trials networks across the country.
The Trust has recently been selected to host a NIHR Patient Recruitment Centre, one of five new sites selected across England. The centres will provide dedicated space, purpose-designed facilities and medical expertise to deliver clinical research within NHS hospital sites, with the aim of increasing the number of studies being run across England. The initiative will increase the NHS’s capacity to deliver vital research for patients, while decreasing the time it takes to set-up late-phase commercial trials within the NHS - improving the UK’s competitiveness in the global market and providing opportunities for patients to benefit from early access to innovation.
The successful applicant will become part of a team working in both the aseptic team and clinical trials team. They should be highly motivated and with an excellent attention to detail. They should be organised, able to prioritise work effectively and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The post will ideally suit technicians looking to develop their careers, learn new skills and who are able to work in demanding and busy services. The post will be shared equally between the clinical trials and aseptic pharmacy departments.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
