Castle Place Practice are seeking a 6 session (30 hours) salaried GP but flexible for the right candidate to join our friendly team.

Castle Place Practice has the benefits of being a friendly practice in a market town with 14,500 patients but also the unique situation of being part of the wider Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Trust and the ability to work closely with the community team. We are in spacious modern premises adjacent to a community hospital with a wide range of services including radiology, inpatients and urgent care. We are very much a team-based practice with a democratic approach across specialities. We pride ourselves on providing excellent care with a supportive ethos. We meet regularly throughout the day including at morning huddle and coffee.

Our multi skilled team extend to Nurses/ANPs/Pharmacists/Paramedic/Physio and being a teaching and training practice makes this a dynamic place to work. We are one of two practices in Tiverton PCN which makes us an effective size for collaboration. Work life balance is important to us and maintaining enthusiasm for general practice through learning and development. Homeworking for 1 day a week is possible if preferred and through teamwork we do not let work accumulate.

If you feel you have the qualities to become part of the Castle Place team, we would be pleased to hear from you and welcome informal visits. Please contact the surgery on 01884 244702 or email either Practice Manager Lorna Benwell on lorna.benwell@nhs.net or Clinical Lead Dr James Squire on james.squire@nhs.net
