The Exeter Renal Unit is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated renal nurse who is looking for the next stage in their career development or relocation to an area that offers a high quality of life.

The renal services at the Royal Devon and Exeter Foundation Trust are rated as outstanding by CQC in 2019 and we continue to build on this excellent level of care and staff development.

The post holder will have broad renal experience with significant skills in haemodialysis. Some experience of leading a team and service management would be desirable.

The post holder will have full responsibility for the safety and quality of patient care and staff support at the satellite unit and will be able to set the direction of the unit to build on the outstanding care provided in line with the regional renal unit’s governance agenda.

The post holder will adopt a highly visible and accessible approach for patients, their relatives/carers and staff. It will mean that s/he leads by example and empowers staff in their personal and professional development to undertake a greater range of clinical skills to maintain and continuously improve the excellent standards of patient care.

This post is situated in the Heavitree satellite Unit in Exeter which is 24 stations and offers three shifts of dialysis per day supported by the multi-disciplinary team at the RDE at Exeter. The home haemodialysis team and Clinical Practice Facilitator are also based within this team.
