We are seeking candidates with strong analytical skills and knowledge of Emergency Department workflows and processes. This role will be in our ASAP team, supporting urgent and emergency care, in the optimisation phase following the successful launch of the MY CARE Programme partnering the RD&E with Epic. Applications will be welcomed from both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds. Candidates should enjoy the challenge of working at a fast pace with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe clinical workflows and efficient processes, with proven experience of creative problem-solving when faced with new and complex issues. The successful candidate will be motivated to deliver high quality configuration in the Epic EPR system and prioritise end user experience for front line staff delivering care in a challenging clinical environment. Excellent IT and communication skills are essential, along with an ability to self-organise and prioritise when working on multiple tasks.

If you are shortlisted and are not currently Epic Certified you will be invited to attend an assessment centre for testing. There will be a range of times and dates from which to choose. These will be confirmed once shortlisting has been completed.

MY CARE - Transforming care together

We have recently delivered the biggest programme of clinical pathway and digital transformation that we have ever undertaken at RD&E hospitals, called ‘MY CARE’. This has involved reviewing patient pathways and introducing a fully integrated Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system with a significant investment in digital technology. We have worked in partnership with award-winning EPR supplier, Epic, to deliver this transformational programme of work.

This ground-breaking Programme went live in October 2020 making us the first Trust to go live with a single, Epic-powered electronic patient record for acute and community services in the UK. MY CARE is exciting and challenging, creating a digital working environment which enables our staff to work more collaboratively and efficiently in delivering outstanding care to our patients and the wider community.

***Preference will be given to staff with ‘Priority’ and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon.***
