Bolham Ward is a 24 bedded unit comprising of 3, 6 bedded bays and 6 side rooms, which are predominantly for infection control purposes.Bolham ward specialises in the care of patients with neurological disorders (not strokes), and the care of older peoples medicine with a special interest in Parkinson’s disease.There are 5 neurological consultants and their teams and 1 health care for the elderly consultant and their team, nursing there is a ward matron, sisters, staff nurses, health care assistants and auxiliary nurses and student nurses.
There is a bespoke therapy team, including senior and junior physiotherapists and occupational therapists a ward clerk team and a dedicated team of housekeeping and food service personal. We also have volunteers on the ward.
Bolham ward has access to expert clinical advice from a number of health care professionals, including pharmacy, tissue viability, Parkinson’s and epilepsy nursespecialist, speech and language therapists.
