We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Medical Support Secretary to join the Foot and Ankle Team within the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working within busy and vibrant teams, are able to prioritise their workload, and who can remain calm under pressure.

 

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proven experience in dealing with patients on the telephone. You will need to enjoy the challenge of working as part of a strong and busy team yet have the ability to use your own initiative to meet the changing needs of the department and orthopaedic service as a whole.

 

You will be flexible and adaptable with excellent IT skills as we welcome our new MyCare System into the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. Experience with managing NHS waiting lists is desirable.

 

If you feel you would be able to meet the demands of this challenging and rewarding role, then we would be delighted to hear from you. Visits are welcome and encouraged. Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract, possibly suitable for a secondment opportunity.
