This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Devon & Exeter Therapy team as Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner in Stroke on the Trust’s main site, the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford).

The post holder will work closely with the Team Lead Physiotherapist, ward multidisciplinary team and Discharge Co-ordinator to provide an effective interdisciplinary service with assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to patients and their carers. The caseload will include patients with a wide range of stroke presentations, many having complex needs.

The post holder will assess and formulate treatment plans to assist with the rehabilitation and discharge of patients following admission to the ward. The post holder will have strong assessment skills and be able to support physical and cognitive recovery through functional rehabilitation activities.

All members of the team will be expected to be available for the shifts across 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays. The post holder will work flexibly in other areas if required.
