Do you have an active interest in supporting patients who require phlebotomy care within the community?
These posts are exciting opportunities for interested staff to develop their careers as part of the Community Phlebotomy Service, working autonomouslyto run phlebotomy clinics across multiple community hospital sites.
Here at the community phlebotomy service, we are looking for 3 enthusiastic individuals who are keen to learn and develop new skills and are passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
Due to the increase of blood requests from RD&E clinicians and the current COVID 19 outbreak, the community phlebotomy service has been assembled to ensure patients can still access secondary care blood tests that they would have previously had at their local GP practice to support their ongoing treatment.
This opportunity promotes autonomy and the successful candidates will be supported to run clinics and manage their own patient case load, whilst working closely with the community ambulatory care team to ensure care is safely delivered for the patient.
There are opportunities of 3x 37.5h a week band 3 posts (opportunities for dividing hours into part time posts are available).
This will be to cover multiple community hospital sites that range from Okehampton-Exmouth (location preference will be taken into account at interview).
The community phlebotomy service operates Monday-Friday 08:30-17:30 (flexible hours to be discussed).
The closing date is 21st January 2021 and interviews will be on Monday 25th January 2021
