Band 2 Hotel Services Assistant – Honiton
A little about the Post as follows:
The post is:
- Hotel Services Assistant at Honiton
- 1 x 20hr per week post including working weekends
- Required to work to a two week rota pattern, which is the same for the time you are with us (so you can plan your life around it)
- Covers 3 different shift patterns (early, middle, late) and you will be expected to work all 3 of these shifts in your two week rota
- These cover between the hours of 6.00am and 8.00pm
- Normally shifts will be between 4-6 hours per shift
The role is a multi-skilled role and staff are required to carry out a range of duties including cleaning, catering and portering type duties.
I cannot stress how extremely physically and mentally demanding this role is.
You need to be very able bodied as you will be required to bend, kneel to get under furniture, beds etc.
You will be on your feet for most of the shift, I cannot stress enough how physical the role is.
Cleaning:
This will be the cleaning of clinic rooms, kitchens, admin offices, toilets etc.
Catering:
There is currently no catering at the site, however if this changes in the future then you will be fully trained and will be expected to complete any tasks associated with this.
I should note that we use a cook / freeze process from an outside company.
Portering:
This will be the lifting of waste bags and manoeuvring of large trollies around the site.
You are entitled to annual leave of 27 days pro rota per annum which equates to 108hrs.
You will also be entitled to Bank Holidays which for a 29hr post equates to a further 32hrs.
Giving a total of 140hrs
The starting pay for a Band 2 is £18,005 per annum pro rata
We have 10 other sites around Devon and also the acute site in Exeter, therefore more hours could be worked at these sites as overtime including weekend working which means enhanced pay
You will need to attend a 3 day induction before starting with the Trust.
