Following Trust wide review of patient data we are creating an acute Kidney Injury service consisting of a renal consultant, and 2 clinical nurse specialists, one at B6 and one at B7. This service will be hosted and supported by the CQC rated outstanding Exeter Renal Service.
We are looking for 2 highly motivated, self-directed, confident individuals who are keen to learn and share their knowledge across the Trust with a range of professionals. A flair for in the moment teaching is an essential skill in these roles. Renal specific experience is not required however acute nursing experience is essential.
We will have a patient centred service that continually audits to demonstrate its effectiveness, self-evaluates and develops in line with audit results and current research evidence.
As a responsive and effective leader the band 7 role will be responsible for the daily delivery of the service, liaising and working closely with Multi-disciplinary teams across the Trust. The band 6 role will support the delivery of the service and deputise for the B7 in their absence.
The post holder will have a minimum of five years (B7) or three years (B6) acute experience with clinical capability and leadership within this setting. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, innovative and committed to providing a quality service in line with our Trust values. The right candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and possess a flexible approach to working hours and care.
