The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital is a cancer centre offering a wide range of oncology and haematology treatments. There is an active research programme recruiting cancer patients into clinical trials. This post is highly valued amongst the cancer team which includes 13 clinical oncologists, 3 medical oncologists and 7 haematologists.

We operate electronic prescribing of systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) using version 6 of Chemocare and are currently in the process of implementing MyCare as an integrated prescribing and management system throughout the Trust.

Although you will be working to the Lead Pharmacist, independent working and project work would be required.

This is a varied post working autonomously in the clinical pharmacy support of all aspects of cancer medicine, including direct involvement in the management of clinical trials.

We have a pharmacist-led non-medical prescribing clinic within our team, primarily to asses and prescribe for patients receiving PD-L1 immunotherapy treatments.

We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist with at least two years post qualification experience of which some ideally would be within aseptic services in a hospital providing parenteral chemotherapy. We are committed to providing good quality training internally and facilitating the professional development of the post holder by providing access to relevant courses and study days.

The post holder will participate in on-call, weekend, late duty and bank holiday rosters.
