Are you interested in developing your role and becoming a nurse practitioner?Would you like the opportunity to expand you knowledge and skills? Would you like to work autonomously seeing treating and discharging patients with minor illness or injuries?

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated registered nurses/paramedics to join our team of practitioners within the Walk in centre covering two sites. You will ideally have relevant recent experience in primary care or working in an acute clinical setting. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and build upon existing knowledge and skills.

Work based training and supervision will be provided and the opportunity to complete a patient assessment module at masters level and progression to a band 6 once all work based competencies are assessed and completed.

The NHS Walk in centre is a nurse led service, delivering care over two busy sites. Practitioners provide assessments diagnosis and treatment to patients presenting with primary care conditions. Working closely with the Emergency Department, Devon Doctors and GP’s. The walk in centre has changed provider since April 2018 and is under the management of the Emergency department team at the Royal Devon and Exeter foundation trust.
