Healthcare for Older People is a high profile, progressive specialty which is developing to meet the needs of the local population. We currently have an opportunity within the Medical Services Division for a highly motivated, dynamic and experienced nurse to help the Matron lead the team on Ashburn Ward in line with the Trust’s vision.
The overall job purpose of the Sister is to provide clinical and managerial leadership to the nursing and multi-professional team. This includes acting as a clinical leader and an expert practitioner liaising, guiding and advising the multidisciplinary team and external agencies in the provision of optimum patient care.
Ashburn Ward is a 28 bedded in-patient unit with an ambition to be known as a centre of excellence in the care of frail and older people. The ward team prides themselves on being a safe and supportive environment, providing high quality care.
We are looking for an individual who has a demonstrable passion and enthusiasm for the care of older people, many of whom have a cognitive impairment. If you are committed to ensuring that this patient group receive a high standard of care delivered with respect and compassion, we would like to hear from you.
