Contract: 3 month secondment
We have an exciting opportunity to work as a research nurse within the paediatric & reproductive health research team. You will be working with the research nurses, midwife and clinicians, helping to delivering clinical trials and research studies covering the paediatric, neonatal and reproductive health portfolios. The post is based at the RD&E, working across multiple sites, so you will need to be flexible and adaptable and there may be occasions when you will need to conduct home visits across the region. The Division 3 portfolio supports research that recruits patients from a range of clinical specialities and ages from neonates, babies, toddlers, children and teenagers to pregnant mothers, caring for them, their families and carers. This may involve some evening and weekend work in order to accommodate school term times and holidays. Your role will be to plan, implement, organise and manage concurrent research projects ensuring research procedures are conducted according to study protocols and focusing on providing a quality experience for research participants. You will need to be proficient in IT and have experience in a range of Microsoft applications including word, excel and some database experience.
Whilst having the opportunity to develop your skills as a proactive team player with excellent IT, communication and organisational skills you will also need to be able to work autonomously and manage a workload independently and demonstrate project management abilities. An understanding and awareness of research governance and the regulatory issues in conduct of Clinical Trials is desirable although a full and thorough training and induction package will be provided with research competencies. This secondment will be run in accordance with the Trust’s policy which can be found on the HUB.
This is a fixed term contract for 3 months. For current NHS Employees this post could be a secondment opportunity
