An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic technician to gain dispensary management experience. You will already be working as a registered Technician who is looking to expand their supervisory skills and help to lead a busy dispensary team.

This is an exciting time at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, with the installation of an automated dispensing robot and implementation of electronic prescribing bringing excellent opportunities for service development.

The position will therefore suit a technician who is ready for a new challenge who can show initiative in supporting service improvements and change management. You will be providing training, assessing competence and supporting the maintenance of standard operating procedures in the dispensary. You will be required to undertake ACT training and other essential training for a supervisory post if you do not already hold these qualifications. You will also be involved in auditing the service to ensure it meets agreed performance and quality standards.

Any successful applicant for the above post will be expected to participate in flexible working which will include weekend, late duty and bank holiday rotas.

Hours:             Full Time: 37.5 hours per week

Salary:             Band 5  £24,214 - £30,112 per annum pro rata

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
