About Exeter

Come for a visit, stay forever! With 500km of stunning coastline, beautiful countryside and 2 rugged moors, Devon has everything you and your family could want for an exciting and fulfilling life. Exeter is a city of contrast: a shiny new shopping centre with a “Café Society” feel, selling everything from and the latest hi tech gadgets and sports gear to designer outfits: surrounded by ancient cobbled streets with unique local shops, dominated by the incredible gothic Cathedral.

Whether you want to spend your free time taking part in thrilling outdoor activities, a quiet relaxing time exploring the many local beaches or walking on the rugged moors, Devon has something to offer everyone.

Exeter is a vibrant University City, with a buzzing night life, theatres, pubs and cinemas as well as great schools and family amenities, all you would expect from a bustling city ( with the added bonus of being surrounded by fantastic countryside). It is also situated about 20 minutes from a beach and 30 minutes form Dartmoor. If that isn’t enough to keep you here at weekends, its just 2 hours to London by Train or 3 hours by car using the M5/M4. The local airport offers internal and external flights daily if you want to go farther. But why would you want to leave! Beautiful North Devon is only an hour away.

All this and a great job in an innovative acute hospital serving approximately 460,000 people! The RDE also boasts its own newly built, outstanding, on-site Nursery and is located at the heart of the beautiful city close to schools and other amenities.
