Our Crediton Community Rehab team has a vacancy for a full time (37.5 hours per week) Rehab Support Worker. Crediton is one of our 3 bases in the Crediton, Moretonhampstead and Okehampton Cluster. The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in an area related to rehabilitation and/or healthcare.
The main duties of the post include:
Carrying out on-going treatment programmes as directed by the Occupational and Physiotherapists.
Assisting the therapists with groups
Assisting to maintain our satellite equipment store – including stock take and ordering equipment
Our patient group are adults with a physical disability. Our caseload includes patients with general frailty, COPD, neurological conditions and much of our work focuses on falls prevention.
Patient treatments take place in patient’s homes, community venues and Crediton Hospital.
You will receive 1:1 supervision with a designated therapist and the rehab support workers participate in a monthly peer support group.
The successful candidate would need to be able to work alone and have the means to get from patient to patient within a very rural area. There may also be occasions where you may need to work temporarily in Moretonhampstead or Okehampton.
