We are seeking a dynamic Band 6 Physiotherapist to cover a maternity leave from December 2019, for a period of 12 months as a secondment or fixed term contract; part time or full time will be considered.

Yes, then we welcome your application to join our extensive and friendly Community Rehabilitation Team in Exeter.
You will be part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team, based at Exeter Community Hospital (Whipton), providing excellent person-centred care in patients’ homes, nursing and residential homes.We provide rehabilitation to patients with a wide range of conditions - acute, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological, palliative, many of whom have complex co-morbidities. There is also a strong focus on falls prevention and management of long term conditions. We work closely with the Royal Devon & Exeter Trust Acute teams, Urgent Community Response Exeter, Social Services colleagues, Mental Health colleagues & local voluntary services.
The post holder should have experience in falls prevention and management, working with the care of the older person and with people who have a long term condition. You should be able to work autonomously, without direct supervision and lone work in a community setting.
This post is for a Specialist band 6 Physiotherapist providing assessment & treatment of patients, presenting with a wide range of conditions. You will need to utilise excellent communication skills and be passionate about empowering patients, using a strength based approach. The post holder will need to be flexible and be able to adapt to change. It is essential the post holder has the ability to prioritise their own caseload, work well within a team and also has access to transport, to travel to allocated patients.
Our team prides itself on providing a comprehensive and structured induction programme, training and supervision, as well as peer support. You will work with Managers / Therapy Leads & peers to develop the service in line with patient’s need and Trust wide developments.
