The IT Infrastructure Delivery Department is looking for an experienced Service Desk Operators - Level 2 to join the IT Service Desk.

The IT Service Desk is a small team providing first and second line support for IMT services to a number of Healthcare organizations across Devon. The role requires proven experience in providing IT support in a very busy environment to a high standard.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate a “can do” attitude and have an enthusiasm for providing first line support.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Elicit information from clients in a succinct manner and record it accurately within the Service Desk software.
  • Correctly prioritise all support calls according to the specific service level agreement.
  • Quickly identify the root cause of an issue and, were possible, resolve it using remote access tools.
  • Join our on-call service supporting critical systems out-of-hours.

A good knowledge of Active Directory is also essential.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
