We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who have successfully completed their BSc Healthcare Science degree in Physiological Sciences.

This post will be ideally suited to newly qualified students who wish to continue their professional development, and specialise in advanced investigations.

There will be opportunities for advancement within the department upon successful completion of internal competencies.

The Royal Devon and Exeter Cardiology department operates a 24/7 primary angioplasty service and the successful candidate would be expected after appropriate training and successful assessments to participate in the on call rota. Weekend and evening shifts will also be required; therefore flexible working will be an essential requirement.

You will also be fully competent in all non – invasive Cardiology procedures and be fully competent to perform unsupervised all procedures listed in the job description.

The successful candidate must have successfully completed the BSc (Hons) Healthcare Science (Physiological Sciences) 3 year programme.

RCCP voluntary membership application will be encouraged.

(Please note applicants who not meet these minimum requirements will be rejected.)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy friendly multi-disciplined team within the Cardiology department at this Foundation Trust hospital.

Applications will be considered from Band 5 Clinical Cardiac Physiologists who do not have the opportunity to advance within their current field. They must however provide proven work and academic experience of their ability to perform at this level.

You will contribute to the on going development of the Cardiology service and using your proven clinical skills and specialised training will be able to work independently at a highly specialised level and continue to develop expertise in complex cardiac procedures.
