We have a new 30 hour Band 6 Occupational Therapy post in our busy and friendly Community Rehabilitation Team in Crediton, Mid Devon. Although the post holder will be based in Crediton, they may occasionally be asked to work from our other sites in Okehampton and Moretonhampstead if needed.

The successful candidate will be provided with regular supervision and training from the Occupational Therapy Team Lead, will attend our peer support group and would work alongside our other two Occupational Therapists in Crediton. There are opportunities to attend in-service training provided by the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust, and further study of Masters modules, attendance of relevant conferences or courses are also encouraged.

We work with all adults who have a disability from age 18 upwards. Our caseloads are varied and some patients have highly complex needs.The postholder will be expected to provide specialist assessments and therapy plans for patients in their own homes.These will include manual handling, cognition and falls assessments.

The post holder will work closely with our health and social care colleagues, local community services and the voluntary sector. For the most part you would work alone in a very beautiful part of rural Devon, so it is essential that you are able to travel independently to each patient.
