An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative individual, who is able to demonstrate strong change management skills in order to work with and support Divisions and Departments to improve space utilisation across the Trust.

The Space Utilisation Manager will be familiar with the Trusts main sites and develop a detailed understanding of existing building occupancy, areas which are vacant or underutilised and work closely with users (clinical and non-clinical) to release or reallocate space for prioritised services or accommodation needs.

This is an active role which has been created to address the challenges of changing healthcare delivery and increased accommodation needs by delivering space efficiencies. The position is on a two year fixed term basis and would suite a member of staff who is looking for a new challenge, willing to learn new skills to identify and implement space opportunities by implementing a new Trust Policy on Space Utilisation.

The role requires the ability to undertake challenging consultation and engagement processes and to find solutions to difficult issues. A commitment to high standards of customer service and a proven ability to manage relationships as well as working with conflicting priorities is essential. The successful candidate will be a team player with planning and project management ability. On the job training and support will be provided in space management and accommodation standards.

Hours: 37.5
