We have an exciting opening for a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to join our Oncology Team. This is a rare opportunity to develop skills and competencies around the delivery of chemotherapy and other supportive treatments. We are looking for an established Band 4 Practitioner, who may be interested in a move to a new speciality. The successful candidate will need to enjoy working with people and be able to maintain a professional approach in this sensitive environment. This post involves working Monday to Friday’s alongside the Oncology Consultants in their outpatient clinics, supporting the work of the chemotherapy unit through patient assessments, cannulation/venepuncture and the delivery of some medications.

The unit also supports the acute oncology service and the role involves care of acutely unwell patients. We are particularly keen to hear from people who are organised and work well under pressure to join our dedicated team in this specialised area.
