We are looking for a well organised, dynamic individual who is a team player and remains calm in a busy, fast paced environment to work as a Medical Support Secretary in the Department of Neurology.

The post is varied and offers the opportunity to work within a small administration team supporting the Neurology Consultants and their teams. You will form an essential part of the department and be responsible for providing an efficient and effective secretarial and administrative service for both the inpatient and outpatient service whilst ensuring attention to detail. You will also need to provide effective communication to both patients and staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service which enhances patient care.

Full-time and part-time hours will be considered working Monday - Friday.

Applicants need to have RSA III (or equivalent) typing or word processing, be able to audio type and have excellent administration skills. This role includes minute taking and experience of this would be desirable.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
