Are you looking for an interesting, fast paced, rewarding Team leading and secretarial role? An opportunity has become available for an experienced Medical Secretary to join the Breast Surgery Department. This would beon a fixed term basis until 31st July 2019 and therefore would be an ideal secondment opportunity. This role is very varied, to include managing a consultant’s diary and waiting lists as well as team leading a discreet number of secretaries.We are looking for someone who can remain calm under pressure and is able to prioritise their own workload, who enjoys being part of a team and is naturally empathetic. You will be supported in your role by the Admin Line Manager and senior management team. The Breast Surgery Department has 5consultantsand is part of Specialist Surgery. This role would suit someone with excellent interpersonal skills and can positively make a valued contribution towards the service that the Department provides.

There may at times be a requirement to support other Departments within Specialist Surgery. We would encourage and welcome applicants to come and have a look around and meet some of our staff. This dynamic role will keep you both challenged and busy working professionally to a very high standard. You will need to be able to demonstrate strong team leadership skills and prioritise a busy workload in line with meeting different deadlines and Trust waiting time targets. The successful applicant will be based primarily in one area but will be responsible for providing support to ensure that high quality services are being delivered within all areas of the division.
