The Medical Division is looking for a Medical Support Secretary to work in the department of Respiratory and to help in other departments in Medicine as required.

The post is varied and offers the opportunity to work for the Respiratory Consultants and their Clinical Teams, working in a team of Respiratory Secretaries.

You must be responsible for providing an efficient and effective secretarial and administrative service. The role is to cover full time hours, working 37.50 hours over a 5 day working week although we will consider applications for 30 hours working over 4 days. You must have RSA III (or equivalent) typing or word processing, be able to audio type and have excellent administration skills.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
