Do you have a passion for patient safety, infection prevention and control and the provision of a clean and safe environment for patients? We have a secondment opportunity for 6 months for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work within our friendly multidisciplinary team as a band 3 Modern Housekeeper.  

Torridge ward is a busy and innovative 19 bed acute hospital ward with an infection control specialty. There are two 6 bedded bays and 7 single rooms where we care for general medical and elderly patients.

We are looking for a self-motivated, committed professional with the passion and drive to maintain a clean and highly organised environment.

You will need to be good a communicator, be able to work alone and possess strong team working skills. You will be responsible to the Ward Matron. Duties include assisting with mealtimes, overseeing domestic & catering staff to ensure high standards of cleaning, ordering and management of stores, organising repairs and maintenance of equipment and regularly liaising with other departments within the hospital and to ensure the drink and meal provision runs smoothly. Torridge ward is a fantastic area to work.
