We are seeking to appoint dynamic dedicated Theatre Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners for scrub and anaesthetic duties. You will plan and manage the implementation of individual care programmes for patients, in the perioperative period, as part of the theatre team. You will provide and deliver a comprehensive service which will include a high quality of patient care. General Theatres undertake a wide range of specialities in both the elective and emergency settings including Orthopaedic Trauma, ENT, Max Fax, Plastics, Breast, Vascular, General Surgery inc. upper GI/Colo-rectal and Urology including Robotic procedures to our services. Within these theatres you will be required to work as part of a 24hr unit participating in on calls, weekend working and night duty. We require professional, flexible, motivated and committed team members capable of delivering high quality, patient-focussed care within a busy, progressive and varied department. We place a strong emphasis on personal and professional development in return for your dedication, you will benefit from in-house induction and competency programme and a Theatre Practitioner Band 5 Skills and Expectations Development Programme. Supported by our departments Educational Team of Clinical Educators who will be working in the clinical setting supporting you also there will be opportunities to undertake further courses in support of your on-going professional development and career progression. These include the national parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor, the coastal towns and seaside resorts of two beautiful coastlines and many picturesque villages.
