Are you looking for a development opportunity? Do you have a passion for patient safety, high quality nursing care and infection prevention and control. There is a secondment opportunity for 8 months for an enthusiastic, caring nursing leader on Torridge Ward. Applicants should be enthusiastic and committed and have the ability to work well and flexibly within a multi-disciplinary team supporting the Matron with quality and service improvements.

The ward provides care for older people who have a medical need and have an Infection control speciality. The applicant should have experience in nursing older people with dementia and with acute medical needs.The applicant should be keen to improve and lead new innovations on the ward and be able to teach and support junior staff on the ward. The applicant will need to work with a multidisciplinary team. Leadership experience would also be desirable.

Within the Medicine Division we work as a team to offer excellent care for all our patients. We offer a supportive atmosphere for all staff and work to develop everyone to achieve their full potential. With this in mind this position would be an excellent opportunity for professionals wishing to develop the skills required to thrive in a busy but rewarding hospital environment.
