Chief Clinical Cardiac Physiologist (Band 7) Electrophysiology Cardiology Department DIRECTORATE OF MEDICINE ROYAL DEVON AND EXETER HOSPITAL (WONFORD) We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual currently working at an advanced specialist level in the field of electrophysiology.

The successful candidate will work closely with the EP Cardiologists; Chief EP Physiologist, and bands 7’s within Cardiology and liaise closely with the Principle Cardiac Physiologist and Cluster manager. The EP service is run by 3 dedicated Electro physiologists undertaking extensive complex mapping, AF /VT ablation, Cryo therapy etc, therefore experience operating at this level is essential.

The successful candidate will support the lead EP physiologist which will include assisting with maintaining stock, team training and performing appraisals. You must have at least 2 years working at Specialist Physiologist band 6 level and at least one year performing all the complex mapping procedures listed above , unsupervised. The successful candidate must possess a BSc in Clinical Physiology RCCP, IBHRE accreditation and ILS qualifications.

You will perform an active role in the training of students, medical staff and Clinical Physiologists. Flexible working performing waiting list initiatives at weekend and evenings are an essential quality and requirement for the post. 1 x 1.0 wte substantive post
