To teach, support and guide the apprentices in clinical practice, undertake assessments and support the delivery of accredited and non–accredited vocational education within the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust (RD&E). To support the delivery of a range of effective training and assessment provision in response to the needs of the RDE, National Occupational Standards (NOS) and the Care Certificate. Work with clinical areas to ensure successful completion of the Care Certificate and Clinical Health Diploma and Apprenticeship Standard at Level 3 plus through peripatetic assessment of work-based activity, ensure targets are met and issues/problems are worked through with relevant parties. To liaise with the Service divisions to support the assessment and education of apprentices within the RD&E. 3. DIMENSIONS/ KEY WORKING RELATIONS We would welcome applciaitons from registered nurses or Assitant practitioners who are interested in supporting the development of the non registered workforce. The post-holder will be a member of the Vocational Education team, supporting the current initiatives for Bands 1-4 staff while working closely with the wards and departments supporting and assessing apprentices. The apprentices will be new to Healthcare and will need training, asessment and pastoral support , so good communciaiotn and patient are essential. You will work across Service Divisions reporting to the Vocational Education Tutor. You will also support the Clinical team in the delivery of Essential Learning.This is a two year fixed term contract.
