The Estates Department is looking for an experienced & reliable mechanical maintenance craftsperson to join their dynamic team in the day to day maintenance of the Hospital. The successful applicant will be involved in the maintenance and repair of Steam & Medium Temperature Hot Water Boilers and equipment associated with these systems. They will also be expected to demonstrate a good working knowledge on other mechanical systems including plumbing, industrial pump sets/motors and other engineering equipment within the Trusts properties. Have the ability to undertake immediate and effective repairs to all mechanical services, plant and equipment with the minimum supervision. Works will be in compliance with all statutory requirements, good practice guidelines and working to specifications and drawings. The successful applicant must be able to apply a high degree of attention to detail whilst working on systems and equipment and also be precise in the recording of relevant results. Having a thorough knowledge of hospital based mechanical systems and equipment would be an advantage. Participation in an out of hours on-call system is required and a willingness to work flexible hours when required would be expected. Salary: Band 4 (£19,409 – £22,683) plus on-call allowances.
