ROYAL DEVON AND EXETER NHS FT ANAESTHETICS LAS Closing date 07th May 2018 Applications are invited for an anaesthetic LAS posts in the Exeter Anaesthetic Dept. This post is ideal for a post Core Training anaesthetists wanting to get more experience and boost their CV prior to applying for a ST post.The post is for 6 months in the first instance subject to satisfactory performance. The post is available from August 2018. It is a Locum Appointment Service post. It offers a broad experience in many surgical specialities from plastics to spinal surgery and with a 4,000+ deliveries/ year obstetric unit. The successful candidate will be treated as a trainee with an Educational Supervisor/ study leave and QI/ Audit Projects. The Study Leave can be utilised for suitable CV enhancing projects. Our friendly, very experienced consultant body offer interview and viva practice. Of the four highly contested Peninsula Deanery ST posts in the February round, two went to Exeter LASs. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to out-of-hours work in both intensive Care and anaesthesia (obstetric anaesthesia experience is desirable). Candidates preferably will have Primary FRCA and 2 years anaesthetic/ ICU experience.
